"An exploration of the deepest, darkest details of a sound."

Bérénice in memoriam was composed and recorded in 2013, and is created entirely from a short recording of a single chord played by a string quartet. The material was first used in a staging of Racine's Bérénice at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (Norway) in April 2013, then adapted into this track for playback in concert (quadraphonic surround sound). The premiere performance was at the Norwegian Academy of Music June 20 2013, and the piece has since been performed regularly.
